A Message from the PMG

October 2007

Thanks for taking the time to visit with us here at Keeping Posted.

Just about everywhere I go, here in Washington or in the field, I can count on meeting a few postal retirees. And they all tell me the same thing – just because they’re retired, doesn’t mean they’ve lost interest in what’s happening at the Postal Service.

It only makes sense. After all, you’ve invested a good part of your life in making the Postal Service what it is today. You have a vested interest in how we’re doing, what we’re doing and how we’re changing.

That’s why we created Keeping Posted. It’s designed for you, to help keep you in touch and to give you quick access to information about retiree benefit programs. We also want to hear from you with your ideas about how we can make Keeping Posted an even better source of information.

That’s important, because the Postal Service is entering a time of significant change. The new postal law that was enacted last December is changing some key aspects of our business. So stay tuned. I’ll be telling you more about it, right here in Keeping Posted.
